As for packing, here are some tips to make it efficient:

  1. If you tend to take short trips often than the actual vacation where you spend a whole week, it is recommended to make a ready-travel bag filled necessities you need for a short trip. It should consists of few pieces of clothes, toiletries, and other necessities. Thus, you can just take it when you are planning to have a short trip even if it is spontaneously. Since everything is ready, you can go anytime. This it also great solution if you often go for a business trip. A ready-travel bag can come in handy.
  2. You don’t need to bring a whole suitcase for a short trip even if your destination is foreign country since you won’t spend too long to stay. Bring travel bag where you can pack your basic necessities such as clothes, toiletries, medication, charger, etc. a single bag is actually enough if your trip only takes two or three days. Make sure to pack light so you won’t be burdened with heavy luggage. Pack only two to three pieces of clothes you are going to wear in your destination. You can wear the same outfit for departure and arrival.
  3. Avoid including unnecessary items into your bag such as hairdryer, laptop, etc. Since your trip is short, you just need something you will truly need. Bringing laptop is not recommended because you don’t necessarily need it. You can check your email through your phone. You can watch new from TV in your hotel room. Besides, bringing distracting items will lessen the quality of your short trip. What you need to do is to make the most of limited time during the trip. If you think certain items are too much to bring, find another alternative. Or, you can also buy the items when you arrive at your destination. Thus, you still have light bag to carry.
